Exile Hosts Our First Writer's Assylum

Theatre Exile was thrilled to host our first Writer's Asylum this weekend. We got nine of our favorite Philadelphia playwrights together in the room with Noah Haidle to share new pages and old wisdom. Jackie Goldfinger, Brush Walsh, Chris Davis, David White, Arden Kass, Reuben Wade, Jeremy Gable, Brian Clores and Joy Cutler spent a few (somewhat chilly!) hours in Studio X with Noah and Associate Artistic Director Brenna Geffers to talk about when feedback is helpful, when to watch out for "expert" characters, and to take delight in a few beautiful turns of phrases.

We look forward to continuing our new asylum with more sessions in the future. Developing new work in our city is a task every theater artists has a vested interest in. After all, how many times can we remount Death of a Salesman?

Stay tuned for more updates about Studio X-hibition and our Writer's Asylum. Developing new works of theater. For Our Future. And Yours!
