Auditions can be a terrifying experience. You panic. You don't trust yourself. And worst of all, you don't get a chance to show people what you can do. Through the guidance of actor/ director Matt Pfeiffer, "A Practical Approach to Auditions" helps you to gain confidence on how to attack an audition with guts and honesty. The class offers one on one coaching in both monologues and cold reads, as well as an evaluation from a panel of professional directors. It's time to stop letting auditions get the better of you. Take a strong and practical approach to the process.

CREATING TRUE CHARACTERS with Lee Ann Etzold

Friday, 4/17 - 7:00-10:00pm
Saturday, 4/18 – 12:00-6:00pm

All Workshops at Studio X, 13th and Reed

There is a big, big, messy, beautiful, terrifying life inside us all. As performers, we cannot be afraid of a characters' big, big inside. We must harness it and tell the story. I've spent most of my career in theatre figuring out how all of that inside expresses itself physically... turning the inside out. We will spend this workshop creating raw character, we will turn them inside out, we will let them spill out into space and then amass the mess into a flushed out, fleshed out, terribly real character. And we will not be afraid.
