Join White Box Theatre and Sebastienne Mundheim for the Philadelphia premiere of Kea and the Ark. Through electric cello, dance, puppetry, and storytelling, Mundheim and her collaborators: Harlee Trautman, Kennedy Candra, Payton Smith, and Daniel de Jesus, share the story of Kea Tawana – a self-taught engineer/artist who built an 86-foot long, three-story tall ark in Newark’s Central Ward. Kea’s ark was an act of protest, tenacity, and imagination. 60 minutes of beautiful storytelling. Appropriate for all ages. Please get your tickets early. Seating is very limited.
